I have been going out way to much lately but its summer so its fine. Biking to the bar and gettin' er done, leads to quite the adventure on the way home. My relatively short walk to the bars from my place sometimes becomes journeys that take hours. Last night after waving good bye to my friends, I started my walk home. Although Illegal, I have gotten into a routine of jumping the fence and walking the train tracks outta downtown. Last night, was a first for me though. A train heading west passed by just as I was jumping the fence. I ran along side grabbed hold of the ladder on one of the train cars and pulled myself on board. I climbed to the top of the car and sat up there while the train went through downtown. I was in total awe and so pumped to be hitching a ride on the top of a train, I didn't realize we had picked up speed and we traveling pretty f'en fast. Anyways, night ended with me taking a dive roll into the gravel at about 40km an hour. Was it worth it. Fuck yeah. Next time Im going to Banff.
Im pretty sure in a prior life I was the dog from The Littlest Hobo. We have the same love for locomotives, a passion for travel, and enjoy lending a hand (or paw) to someone in need. Watch this:
